The Cognitive and Interpersonal Therapy Centre (CITC) is proud to offer a comprehensive practicum and internship training program to students in master’s (e.g., M.A.) or doctoral-level (e.g., Ph.D., Psy.D.) psychology programs. Clinical placements typically follow the September to May academic year schedule, but training opportunities are available throughout the calendar year.
We accept students who are training in intervention and assessment for adults, adolescents, and children. Intervention will focus on learning how to deliver manualized, empirically validated CBT and IPT. Assessment will focus on clinical interviewing and the application of personality, mood, and interpersonal psychological measures.

Dr. Carolina McBride
CITC’s Founder and Director of Clinical Training,Dr. Carolina McBride, Ph.D., C. Psych., is the primary supervisor for the M.A./Ph.D./Psy.D. adult intervention and assessment practicum and provides weekly individual and group supervision.
Dr. Leah Enns
CITC’s Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Leah Enns, Ph.D. C. Psych is the primary supervisor for the M.A./Ph.D. adolescent/child intervention and assessment practicum and provides weekly individual and group supervision.
Dr. Devina Daya
CITC’s Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Devina Daya, Ph.D., C. Psych., supervises the M.A./Ph.D./Psy.D. adult intervention and assessment practicum and provides weekly individual and group supervision.
Dr. Diana Lisi
CITC’s Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Diana Lisi, Ph.D., C.Psych, is a supervisor for the M.A./Ph.D./Psy.D. adult intervention and assessment practicum and provides weekly individual and group supervision.
Training Opportunities
As part of CITC’s comprehensive training program, practicum students will benefit from the following clinical development opportunities:
Monthly case presentations/discussions during clinical rounds with the Centre’s multidisciplinary team of Psychologists, Psychological Associates, and Psychotherapists, each of whom has extensive experience in CBT and IPT, as well as other empirically-validated treatment approaches (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion-focused therapy, and Psychodynamic therapy).
Monthly consultation meetings with CITC’s Director of Clinical Training to receive clinical and placement-related support. Weekly in-depth supervision with either the Director of Clinical Training or the Child/Adolescent Supervisor.
A vast library of training videos, treatment manuals, and books.
